Both meetings are mandatory. If you cannot attend, you will need to contact the coaches to set up a time where they can personally relay some important information to you. Dancers whose parents do not attend the meeting or set up a time to speak with the coach will not be granted a position on the team. |

Audition FAQ's
Day 1: Learn 90 second choreography & review expected skills
Day 2: Review 90 second routine & review expected skills
Day 3: Arrive during assigned time block, perform skills & 90 second routine for judging panel
1. What do I wear?
Form fitting/lightweight attire that allows you to move and stretch freely. Example: Athletic leggings and tank top, spandex shorts and tee, etc. On the first two days of tryouts, please wear something comfortable. On the final day of tryouts please wear something that will accentuate your body lines, in ALL BLACK. Footwear is mandatory! Jazz shoes and dance paws are acceptable. Wearing socks and/or footed tights only is not allowed.
2. What do I do for hair/makeup?
Please make sure that your hair is pulled out of your face for all 3 days of tryouts. On the final day, your hair should look neat and presentable. Example: Low/mid/high ponytail or bun with fly-away hairs secure. Makeup on final tryout day should look clean, fresh and natural. Light blush, lip gloss and mascara would suffice. Wear what ever makeup and hairstyle makes you most comfortable and allows to you to dance comfortably.
3. What skills will I be expected to perform?
Dancers will be judged on a 1 minute and 30 second long routine in the styles of pom, jazz, and hip hop. Dancers will individually be asked to show the following skills (which will be demonstrated and explained the first 2 days of tryouts):
-Splits (Right, Left, Middle)
-Kicks
-Leaps (Right, Left, Center)
-Toe Touch
-Pirouettes
-Turns in Second
-Additional Skills: Headspring, Kip Up, Front/Back Walkover or Handspring, Aerial
